The Tile Cut command extracts patterns from drawings, automatically nests them, and creates cutting toolpaths. This includes a built-in nesting algorithm without requiring a separate nesting module.
🔹 How to Use
Prepare drawing: Create tiles and colored circles defining cut zones.
* Everything inside the red circle will be nested on red tiles, everything between the blue and red circle will be nested on blue tiles and everything between the yellow and blue circle will be nested on yellow tiles.
- Activate the command: Select Tile Cut from the toolbar.
- Set up machine/material: Select machine and material if not already configured.
- Configure cutting parameters:
Joint size: Distance between tiles
- Cutting information: Lead-in, lead-out, piercing settings
- Compensation: Tool radius compensation options
- Enable/disable nesting: Choose whether to nest multiple parts per tile.
Execute: Press OK to generate nested layouts and toolpaths.
🧠Tips
- Built-in nesting: No separate nesting module required.
- Color-coded zones: Use colored circles to define which parts go on which tiles.
- Compensation control: Tool radius compensation ensures proper part spacing.
- Nesting efficiency: Enable nesting to fit multiple parts per tile when possible.
