The Boundary Scan command extracts closed polylines from enclosed areas, even when the boundary consists of separate line segments, arcs, circles, ellipses, and splines.
🔹 How to Use
- Activate the command: Select Boundary Scan from the toolbar.
- Specify tolerance: Enter tolerance (0 for no gaps, larger value for existing gaps).
- Optional object selection: Select specific objects to include in the scan, or press Spacebar to include all.
- Pick internal points: Click inside enclosed areas to extract boundaries.
- Optional color selection: Press C while picking to choose boundary color.
Move result: Press Spacebar and move the new polyline to a different position.
🧠Tips
- Gap tolerance: Set tolerance larger than existing gaps between boundary objects.
- Mixed geometry: Works with combinations of lines, arcs, circles, ellipses, and splines.
- Large drawings: Pre-select objects on large drawings to speed up calculations.
- Color coding: Use C shortcut to assign specific colors to extracted boundaries.
