The Skew command distorts objects by applying angular transformation in X and Y directions. This creates slanted or sheared geometry while maintaining parallel relationships.
🔹 How to Use
- Select objects: Choose the objects you want to skew.
- Activate the command: Select the Skew tool from the toolbar.
- Specify base point: Click the point to skew from.
- Enter Y skew angle: Input the skew angle in the Y direction.
- Enter X skew angle: Input the skew angle in the X direction.
- Complete operation: Objects are skewed according to the specified angles.
🧠Tips
- Angle relationships: 30-degree Y skew creates a 60-degree angle from X-axis.
- Perspective effects: Use skew for creating pseudo-3D or perspective views.
- Base point positioning: The base point remains fixed during the skew operation.
- Combined transformations: Can be combined with other transformation commands for complex effects.
