The Save Block command works similarly to Create Block but stores the block as an external DIG file on disk. This allows you to reuse blocks across multiple drawings and share them with other users.
🔹 How to Use
- Create your figure: Draw the objects you want to save as a block.
- Activate the command: Select the Save Block tool from the toolbar.
- Select objects: Choose the objects to include in the block.
- Set base point: Define the insertion point for the block.
- Choose filename: Enter a filename and location for the DIG file.
- Save block: The block is saved as an external file.
🧠Tips
- External storage: Unlike Create Block, this saves to disk and can be used in any drawing.
- File sharing: Share DIG files with other users or projects.
- Library building: Create libraries of commonly used blocks.
- Base point importance: Choose the base point carefully for consistent insertion behavior.
