The Ellipse command creates elliptical shapes by defining major and minor axis dimensions. Multiple creation methods accommodate different design approaches.
🔹 How to Use
- Activate the command: Select Ellipse tool or press Shift+E.
Default method: Click two points for major axis length, then specify minor axis radius.
Center mode: Type S for center mode, then specify major axis distance from center and minor axis radius.
Arc mode: Type A for elliptical arcs, then define start and end angles.
🧠Tips
- Multiple methods: Default, center mode, and arc mode for different design needs.
- CNC compatibility: Postprocessor automatically converts ellipses to arcs/lines for CNC controllers.
- Axis definition: Major axis is the longer dimension, minor axis is the shorter.
- Partial ellipses: Arc mode creates open elliptical segments with defined angles.
