The Polyline command creates connected chains of lines and arcs as single objects. This is essential for creating complex shapes that need to be treated as unified geometry.
🔹 How to Use
- Activate the command: Select Polyline tool or press P.
- Specify start point: Click the starting point or enter coordinates.
- Add segments: Continue clicking to add line segments.
- Toggle to arcs: Type A to switch to arc mode for curved segments.
- Toggle to lines: Type L to switch back to line mode.
- Close polyline: Press Shift+C to close the polyline back to the start point.
- End command: Press Enter, Spacebar, or ESC to finish.
🧠Tips
- Mixed geometry: Combine straight lines and arcs in the same polyline.
- Mode switching: Use A and L keys to switch between arc and line modes during creation.
- Closed shapes: Use Shift+C to automatically close the polyline for shapes.
- Single object: Result is one polyline object, not individual segments.
